Justice

Let’s say if we want to measure who is the better human between Usain Bolt and Lee Chong Wei, we set up a test. In order to be fair (have justice), we use a ‘standard’ test to evaluate them both: a 100-meters sprint.

Everybody’s already thinking, “That’s not fair to Lee Chong Wei!”. So how about we have a badminton duel instead? Then you would say, “That’s not fair to Usain Bolt!”.

What we can understand from this simple example that justice is not about “having the same thing” or “having the same amount”. Justice is about putting everything and everyone in their proper places and giving them their proper treatment.

When a head prefect and a normal student commits the same misdemeanor, it is not justice when both of them receives 10 whips. Instead, it is closer to justice for the head prefect to receive 20 whips and the normal student 10 whips.

Islām is a religion of peace and justice. Being a religion truly revealed, with everything complete in the revelation of al Qur’ān and in the person of the Prophet Muhammad sallallāhu ‘alayhi wasallam, Islām lays out true justice; such that if adhered to completely will manifest in a harmonious life for all. Nothing needs to be changed or modified in Islām for it is already complete, merely needs to be implemented and followed.

When a person views Islām as a religion that is unjust to some, the problem then is not with Islām. The problem is that person failed to properly identify and acknowledge the proper places of things in existence.

Learn Islām from a proper teacher, you will be enlightened.

If you're a non-muslim reading this and wants to know more about how Islām provides true justice for all, drop me a line and I'll introduce you to a proper teacher.
